The College of Arts Educates New Students on the Student Disciplinary Code in an Awareness Seminar

The College of Arts at the University of Samarra organized an awareness seminar on the “Student Disciplinary Code,” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Iqbal Neamat Darwish, a faculty member of the college. The seminar targeted newly admitted undergraduate students for the academic year 2024-2025.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness among new students in the college’s departments about the provisions of the Student Disciplinary Code, their assigned duties, and the disciplinary actions they may face in case of violating the code or breaching any of its provisions.

During the seminar, the speaker explained ministerial regulations related to student discipline, emphasizing the obligations students must adhere to, the full application of the code’s provisions, and the importance of avoiding any violations of this law. This includes interactions among students and with faculty and staff within the college. Adhering to these guidelines ensures their safety and helps them avoid legal and administrative penalties for violations, as stipulated in Student Disciplinary Regulations No. (160) of 2007, which could extend to suspension or expulsion from studies.

It is noteworthy that the University of Samarra strives to organize awareness seminars, especially those aimed at educating students about governing laws, in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. These efforts are geared toward cultivating disciplined students within their academic boundaries.
