A Faculty Member at the University of Samarra Publishes a Scientific Paper in a Scopus-Indexed Journal
Assistant Lecturer Huda Abdul Thamer, a faculty member in the College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra, has published a scientific paper in the Medical Journal of Babylon, which is classified as Q4 in the Scopus indexing system.
The paper, titled “Changes in Vitamin D3 and Calcium Levels in Patients with Chronic Kidney Failure”, aimed to assess levels of Vitamin D3 and calcium, along with other variables, in individuals suffering from chronic kidney disease.
The researcher concluded in her study that there is a significant decrease in Vitamin D3 and calcium levels, accompanied by a notable increase in urea, creatinine, and uric acid levels in patients compared to a healthy control group.
The Media and Government Communications Department, on behalf of the University of Samarra’s staff, congratulates the researcher on her scientific achievement and wishes her continued success in her academic and research career.
