Assistant Professor Mohammed Abbas Fadel (a faculty member) from the College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra has published a scientific research paper in the Arabian Journal of Chemistry, which is ranked in the first quartile (Q1) of Scopus-indexed journals.
The research was titled “Preparation of Magnesium Iron Oxide Composite on Graphene Oxide Surface as Photocatalysts for Degradation of Organic Dyes.”
In his research, Abbas aimed to reduce environmental pollution from organic waste using magnesium iron oxide on the graphene oxide surface.
The study’s results showed that the prepared composite exhibited high magnetic properties, which facilitate its easy recovery and a large surface area, reaching 96.4654 m².g⁻¹, due to its unique shape after one and a half hours.
