College of Arts at University of Samarra Honors Ramadan with Quran Completion Gatherings

The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts, University of Samarra, utilized the blessed days of Ramadan by organizing a special Ramadan morning gathering dedicated to completing the Holy Quran. The Quran was divided into parts and distributed among the college’s staff, faculty members, and students, who gathered in the university’s Al-Mu’tasim Hall.

The session began with remarks from the head of the Arabic Language Department (the event organizer), highlighting the virtues of reciting and completing the Quran, its spiritual effects in this life, and the rewards promised in the hereafter.

Attendees then began reading their assigned portions of the Quran with the intention of completing it collectively. They successfully completed four full recitations in a single session.

Each Quran completion was dedicated to specific intentions: one for the soul of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), others for his fellow prophets and messengers in recognition and love for their divine missions, and one for the souls of all Muslims and the deceased relatives of those present, as an expression of loyalty and mercy.

Additionally, one of the completions was dedicated to the soul of the late Professor Dr. Zainab Labeeb Fakhri, a faculty member at the same college, who passed away at the end of February. Prayers for mercy and forgiveness were offered on her behalf.

This initiative reflects the deep human connection and compassion shared among colleagues, while also reviving the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan that blends devotion with remembrance and gratitude.
