Faculty of Agriculture Delegation Conducts a Field Visit to the Agricultural Extension Department in Balad
A delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Samarra organized a field visit to the Agricultural Extension and Training Department (Balad Farm), led by the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs.
The delegation aimed to enhance practical aspects of agricultural education, develop the faculty’s teaching staff in applied fields, and strengthen research activities. Additionally, the visit sought to bridge academic studies with real-world agricultural practices.
During the visit, the delegation explored modern irrigation system techniques and learned about the operational mechanism of the hydroponic barley cultivation system.
Professor Dr. Khalid Abdullah Shahir, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized the importance of continuously developing the skills of both faculty members and students. He highlighted the necessity of integrating field-based and practical training alongside theoretical education.
These visits are part of ongoing collaboration between state institutions, the activation of governmental communication programs, and the implementation of the Cabinet’s recommendations to enhance joint work across all government entities.
