First Participation of Samarra University Female Students in the University Scout Camp for Guides, Achieving Second Place
For the first time, female students from Samarra University participated in the University Scout Camp for Peaceful Coexistence (for Guides), organized by the Department of Student Activities at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The camp was hosted by the Northern Technical University in Mosul from April 20–24, 2025.
The Samarra students achieved second place in the camp, which included participation from more than 30 public and private Iraqi universities.
This participation marks the first of its kind for the university’s female students in university scouting camps, under the leadership of Dr. Aseel Ibrahim Shehab, a faculty member in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
It is worth mentioning that the selection of participants and the administrative delegation was carried out by the Department of Student Activities at the university presidency, aiming to involve female students in university scouting activities.
The Director of the Department of Student Activities noted that the students’ achievement represents a qualitative accomplishment in the field of scouting.
