President of Samarra University Visits the College of Engineering and Inspects Its Practical Laboratories and Infrastructure

Professor Dr. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai (President of Samarra University) visited the College of Engineering (one of the university’s faculties) to observe its practical laboratories and classrooms. He was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Amjad Saleh Mahmoud (Dean of the College), who accompanied him on the tour. During the tour, the university president examined the college’s laboratories, including the Electromechanical Laboratory, the Engineering Drawing Laboratory specific to the Department of Architecture, and the laboratories of the Civil Engineering Department.

Additionally, the university president inaugurated the graduation platform for the college’s students, which was created this year, designed by students from the Department of Architecture, and executed by the college administration.

In a separate discussion, the university president and the dean explored avenues for urban development that the College of Engineering envisioned. They discussed the engineers’ role, including faculty, staff, and students, in designing urban plans for the college, the university, and the city and how to utilize their academic and research capabilities to serve the country.

Allawi emphasized the importance of providing a suitable environment for students, mainly focusing on establishing classrooms, laboratories, and a discussion hall in preparation for the graduate students the college welcomed this year in its first cohort.
