Samarra University Educates on Ethics of the Teaching Profession
The Department of University Psychological Guidance at the Rectorship of Samarra University organized a seminar on “Ethics and Etiquette in the Teaching Profession,” presented by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Adnan Talafah Mohammed, on Monday morning, December 29, 2025.
The seminar aimed to educate the university’s teaching staff about the concept of ethics in the teaching profession and to define ethics as a system of principles and behaviors that facilitate individuals’ lives, resulting in commitment.
Adnan explained that the source of ethics lies between habituation and temperament, in addition to the difference between ethics and morals, defining morals as a set of rules and behavioral proprieties.
Adnan outlined the most important means of reinforcing ethics in the profession, through cultivating self-control, precision in establishing regulations and instructions, and using good role models as a source of psychological inspiration.
It is noted that the seminar was delivered in collaboration with the Standing National Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance under the Prime Minister’s Office, in the presence of the university’s Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, representing the university.
