Seminar at Samarra University Clarifies Mechanisms for Promoting a Culture of Integrity in the Fight Against Corruption

The Colleges of Applied Sciences and Arts at Samarra University clarified “mechanisms for promoting a culture of integrity in the fight against corruption according to the current laws and regulations” in a joint awareness seminar led by Assistant Professor Ziad Tariq Ibrahim (the administrative assistant to the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences), and moderated by Assistant Teacher Hanaa Khudair Ahmed (an educator at the College of Arts).

In his seminar, Tariq aimed to explain the concept of corruption, define it, and clarify its roots, forms, and characteristics. The seminar also addressed methods for addressing and eliminating corruption in its various forms.

The lecturer additionally provided a brief overview of the concept of integrity from both terminological and legal perspectives, outlining ways to enhance the culture of integrity in society.

The seminar concluded with several recommendations, the most prominent of which was the necessity of promoting a culture of integrity as a fundamental pillar in building an honest society free from corruption, activating the role of universities in raising awareness of the laws and regulations governing administrative and employment practices, and emphasizing the need for transparency in all state institutions.
