The Assistant University President for Administrative Affairs Chairs a Meeting to Implement Ministry Recommendations
Professor Dr. Zuhair Qasim Mohammed, the Assistant University President for Administrative Affairs, chaired a meeting in his office that included members of the committee tasked with granting allowances for computer work. This initiative was proposed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to all universities to explore the possibility of adding such allowances and funding.
The committee reviewed the mechanism set forth by the ministry and compared it with the lists prepared by all university departments, including the university presidency divisions, its centers, and the colleges along with their academic departments.
The committee concluded its work, which involved verifying and preparing lists of individuals eligible for these allowances in accordance with the ministry’s regulations.
The Assistant University President emphasized the committee’s commitment to thoroughly examining the eligibility of university staff and its departments to safeguard their entitlements. This also acknowledges their efforts in fulfilling their duties and ensures that employees working on computers from non-computer science disciplines are not overlooked, particularly as most of these employees come from humanities fields. Nevertheless, the administrative nature of their work requires continuous use of computers.
