The Department of Media and Government Communication Raises Awareness on International Day of Education

The Department of Media and Government Communication at the Presidency of Samarra University organized an educational campaign within the university’s premises, coinciding with the International Day of Education, observed annually on January 24th.

The campaign involved the distribution of an educational brochure that included a general overview of the day, the history of its proclamation by the United Nations General Assembly, the importance of education, its impact on individuals and society, and the right of everyone to education.

Additionally, the brochure highlighted significant dates and events related to this occasion, as well as simple ideas that could be implemented to celebrate this day.

It is worth noting that these campaigns are part of the efforts made by the Department of Media and Government Communication to promote awareness and education within the university community and to highlight international days, especially those endorsed by the Iraqi government.
