The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department Organizes a Course on the Iraqi University Ranking

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of the University of Samarra, organized a training course titled “The 2024 Iraqi Ranking for Governmental and Private Universities.” The course, held over two days, was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Shihab Ahmed Shawkat, Lecturer Moayad Hamid Hameed, and Assistant Lecturer Omar Ahmed Jassim.

The course aimed to train the university staff, including heads of scientific departments, their deputies, and quality assurance unit heads from all university colleges, on the mechanisms of the 2024 Iraqi Ranking Project (IRU) for governmental and private universities.

The course focused on the form measuring the performance scores of scientific departments in colleges (06) and the specific indicators related to this form, including (program quality and accreditation, faculty members, and global academic discipline rankings).

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi University Ranking Project is one of the tools used to assess the progress of Iraqi educational institutions and to determine the level of achievement in quality and academic accreditation programs and activities.
