Training Workshop on the Scholarship Application Process Organized by the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations
The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Presidency of the University of Samarra organized a training workshop for faculty members, employees, and students on the “Scholarship Application Process.” The workshop was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdullah Hamad (Head of the Department), Assistant Professor Dr. Moataz Ibrahim Ali, and Dr. Abdul Rahman Hamada Saleh.
The workshop aimed to clarify the application mechanism and requirements for scholarships, highlight the necessary qualifications for applicants, and focus on the required specializations and the countries offering scholarships.
Dr. Abdullah elaborated on the eligibility criteria, including recognized academic degrees and the required GPA as per the scholarship provider’s regulations.
Dr. Ibrahim explained the specific fields of study in demand and outlined the step-by-step application process—from initial submission to reviewing and tracking application status. He also discussed the required documents, the uploading process, and selecting the host country.
Dr. Hamada provided guidance on submitting applications through the ministry’s online portal, detailing how to create an account and register via the official website of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.
Additionally, the workshop covered key scholarship-providing countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Japan, and China.
This initiative aligns with the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations’ commitment to enhancing the academic qualifications of university staff by facilitating opportunities for higher education at prestigious international universities.
