Two faculty members from the College of Education at the University of Samarra have published a joint scientific research paper in a Scopus-indexed journal. Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Diab Ahmed and Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Abdullah, in collaboration with a professor from the University of Sfax in Tunisia, published their research in the latest issue of the journal “Research in Chemistry,” which is ranked in the second quartile (Q2) of Scopus.

The research, titled “Estimation of Candesartan and Amlodipine Using Ion-Pair and Cloud Point Extraction Methods,” aimed to develop a spectroscopic technique for the quantitative analysis and documentation of drugs, specifically measuring the quantities of candesartan and amlodipine, which are selected as antihypertensive medications.

The study’s results indicated that infectious diseases do not pose an increasing concern in the field of cardiovascular health. Additionally, the use of amlodipine and candesartan, both significant blood pressure-lowering drugs, is highlighted as a commonly used therapeutic strategy.

The Department of Media and Government Communication, on behalf of the University of Samarra’s staff, congratulates the researchers on their scientific achievement and wishes them continued success in their research and academic endeavors.
