Samarra University Continues Sustainable Energy Week Activities

The colleges of Samarra University resumed their activities for the second consecutive day of Sustainable Energy Week, on the morning of Monday, April 27, 2026.

The colleges’ activities varied according to their scientific and humanities specializations, including exhibitions of recycled products, alongside exhibitions of scientific outputs serving humanitarian issues.

The Vice Rector for the Scientific Affairs of the University, Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, inaugurated several scientific product exhibitions that focused on alternative energy and environmental sustainability.

On the other hand, the second day’s activities included theatrical performances and awareness competitions emphasizing the necessity of sustainability, by presenting questions about green environment and clean energy, organized by the colleges, with prizes awarded to those giving the correct answers.

It is worth mentioning that the Sustainable Energy Week was mandated for implementation by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to Iraqi universities, based on directives from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, as part of the government program plan.
