A Seminar at the College of Education Discusses the Sulfur Cloud and Its Role in Environmental Pollution

A seminar at the College of Education at the University of Samarra discussed “Environmental Pollution and the Sulfur Cloud,” presented by Dr. Iman Abbas Mohammed and Assistant Lecturer Hamza Riyadh Abdul Hamid.

The seminar clarified the concept of environmental pollution and the negative effects of emissions resulting from factories, refineries, and power plants, which produce sulfur clouds and pollute the environment.

The presenters also explained the impact of acid rain on soil and plants, highlighting its adverse effects on the environment and society, especially on consumers of contaminated plants. Additionally, they discussed its influence on the ecological balance in general, particularly its role in global warming.

The lecturers recommended enhancing the government’s role in addressing environmental pollution, as well as the community’s role in reducing pollution. They emphasized the importance of fostering community cooperation in the use of clean energy to help minimize sources of environmentally harmful emissions.
