A student from the University of Samarra wins the Asian gold medal in kickboxing
Salih Ali Ahmed, a member of the national kickboxing team and a student at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Samarra, won the gold medal in the Asian Kickboxing Championship.
The athlete underwent a three-month training camp in preparation for the championship, which took place in Vietnam, with nearly 700 athletes from over twenty Asian countries participating, including Cambodia, China, India, Uzbekistan, Iran, Syria, Vietnam, and Korea.
The student ended his bout with a victory over the Vietnamese athlete, securing the championship title and winning the gold medal for the second consecutive time.
On behalf of the University of Samarra, the Department of Media and Government Communication congratulates the student for being named Asia’s champion in kickboxing, wishing him continued success in his athletic and academic career.
