A Faculty Member at Samarra University Publishes a Book Bridging Media and Social Psychology
A new book by Dr. Talha Haif Salem, a faculty member in the College of Arts at Samarra University, has been published by the Modern University Press in Egypt. The book uniquely combines media studies with social psychology.
Titled “The Impact of Terrorist Groups’ Videos on Social Media on the Sense of Security Among Iraqi Youth,” the book explores the effects of such videos on feelings of anxiety and insecurity among Iraqi youth, delving into the psychological and social dimensions of this phenomenon.
Dr. Haif highlights the role of terrorist groups’ videos in instilling extremist ideas, utilizing emotional rhetoric that incites anger and enthusiasm, and influencing the behavior of young people.
