A faculty member at the University of Samarra earns a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature

Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Hassan Saleh, a faculty member in the College of Education at the University of Samarra, has earned a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature from his college.

His dissertation, titled “Contradictions in the Contemporary Arab Narrative Text: A Deconstructive Study”, aimed to explore the credibility of the concept of “text contradiction” through selected works from the Arab novelistic experience.

Hassan defined the literary text as an integrated structure, a composition of interconnected elements ranging from value-based impressions to structuralism.

The researcher highlighted that the Arab novel remains continuously connected to its readers and that most of the targeted novels possess multiple layers. Therefore, it is essential to deconstruct and uncover these layers.

On behalf of the University of Samarra, the Department of Media and Government Communication congratulates the researcher on his advancement in his field, wishing him continued success in his academic career.
