The University of Samarra Strengthens Collaboration with Civil Society Organizations
The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, chaired a meeting with the Department of Media and Government Communication and the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, attended by the Tadarak Organization for Human Rights and Democracy.
The meeting discussed various aspects that contribute to providing the university with qualitative activities serving the public interest and the academic community in matters related to human rights on an ongoing basis, thereby supporting the government program.
Tadarak presented a package of activities it could offer the university, including holding discussion seminars on the dangers of illegal migration, as well as seminars on deep-rooted extremism leading to terrorism and on violence directed against women.
In turn, Dr. Hussein pledged that the university would provide all necessary facilities and logistics to ensure the success of the agreement reached between the two parties.
It is worth noting that the university is committed to working with officially registered civil society organizations, with cooperation agreements approved by the Prime Minister’s Office, enabling them to provide proper services to the university and the community.
