A faculty member at Samarra University publishes a joint research on cellular roads in Scopus

Assist. Lect. (Ahmad Hadi Mahmoud), a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering at Samarra University, published a joint scientific Research in the International Journal of Logistics Science (Acta Logistica), which is ranked in Q2 in Scopus and Clarivate indexing databases.

The research is titled \”An Integrated Methodology for Assessing and Estimating Service Level of Two-Lane Rural Roads,\” conducted in collaboration with Iraqi and Arab researchers to enhance international research collaboration, reflecting the integration of academic expertise among Arab universities.

The researchers aimed to evaluate and predict the traffic service level on two-lane rural roads, through a case study on the Salah ad-Din – Kirkuk road, using modern analytical models and specialized software such as Highway Capacity Software (HCS-2024), based on the American Highway Capacity Manual (HCM).

The study results show that it provides a practical scientific framework to support decisions for rural road development, improve traffic performance efficiency and road safety, thereby promoting sustainable infrastructure planning in Iraq and developing countries.

For its part, the Department of Media and Government Communication at the Rectorship of Samarra University congratulates The lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering) on his scientific output, which is considered a significant addition to the university’s research portfolio.
