A Training Course in Applied Sciences Reveals Vitamins in Vegetable Oils

The College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra organized a training course titled “Detection of Certain Vitamins in Vegetable Oils” targeted at students of the Department of Applied Chemistry. The course was led by Dr. Ahmed Jassim Mohammed, Dr. Zainab Hashim Mohammed, and Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Mawlood Taha.

The seminar focused on explaining the importance of vitamins for the human body, their necessity for health, and an introduction to water-soluble vitamins, including their types and benefits. It also reviewed key sources of vitamins and symptoms of vitamin deficiencies.

In the same context, the course trainers recommended the importance of consuming (fruits, vegetables, meats, whole grains, nuts, and seeds) due to their high vitamin content, while emphasizing the need to maintain adequate levels of vitamin A, which is one of the most crucial vitamins for supporting human growth and enhancing immunity.
