The faculty of the College of Engineering at the University of Samarra launched a campaign to distribute food baskets to needy families in the city of Samarra at the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, under the supervision of the college administration.
The campaign aims to provide food support to low-income families in the city during Ramadan, easing their burdens amid the current economic conditions.
The Ramadan food baskets included essential food supplies and were distributed to several families in different areas of the city. The funds for these baskets were collected from the proceeds of the charity bazaar organized by the college under the name “Ahlan Ramadan” (Welcome Ramadan).
The Dean of the College of Engineering expressed his happiness at launching this initiative, emphasizing their commitment to supporting the community, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
It is worth noting that this campaign is part of the university’s efforts to activate its social responsibility and its various departments’ commitment to contributing to alleviating the hardships of needy families in the city.
