Graduate Students from the College of Education Conduct a Scientific Visit to Tikrit University

Graduate students from the Department of Biology in the College of Education carried out a scientific visit to the Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Science at Tikrit University, accompanied by some of the department’s faculty members.

The organizers aimed to introduce the students to methods of handling, housing, and administering substances to laboratory animals. The visit also included training on techniques for drawing blood samples for research purposes and the proper methods of dissection.

Additionally, the students learned about preserving tissue sections and operating the microtome device used for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination.

As part of the practical component, the students conducted hands-on exercises in blood sampling, dissection, tissue preparation, and microscopic examination.

This visit falls within the framework of mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise among academic institutions, with the goal of developing students’ skills and enhancing their scientific and practical knowledge.
