Modern Tissue Culture Techniques for Sustainable Potato Farming

The College of Agriculture at the University of Samarra, in collaboration with the Agricultural Guidance and Training Department, organized a scientific seminar titled “Modern Techniques in Potato Tissue Culture for Sustainable Production and Food Security”, presented by Assistant Lecturer Daham Badri Abdulhadi.

The lecturer aimed to review the latest scientific techniques and methods used in potato tissue culture and their role in improving the quality of agricultural production.

The seminar focused on the importance of employing biotechnology to support agricultural sustainability and address challenges related to food security, while presenting innovative scientific solutions that contribute to effective and safe production.

Attendees discussed the latest developments in agricultural sustainability, in an effort to enhance academic engagement in scientific research and keep pace with modern agricultural technologies.

This seminar is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the university’s departments to support knowledge and expand the horizons of students and those interested in agricultural affairs, aiming for a sustainable and food-secure future.
