A significant progress for Samarra University in the global green metric ranking

In a continuous and remarkable progress of the University of Samarra in the Green Metric classification, Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai, President of the University, announced that the University of Samarra had advanced 59 ranks compared to last year, as it ranked 450 globally after it was in the 509th sequence previous year.
At the local level, it ranked 12th among Iraqi universities, with more than 130 public and private universities.
This progress comes in line with the university’s great interest in a clean environment, focus on alternative energy, waste recycling, and hard work to create a university environment that is compatible with the desired clean environment.
This is related to completing all the steps required to enter the QS classification after the university recorded an honorable entry in the British Times classification.
The President of the University stated that entering the classifications remains a positive indicator indicating the availability of the requirements set by the classifications as criteria through which the sequence of universities is adopted.
Also, he indicated that the ultimate goal of universities remains to overcome the difficulties facing scientific research and its requirements and strive to provide the atmosphere and conditions that would push the wheel of distinguished scientific research forward, stressing that the university has outstanding competencies that have proven their worth despite the difficult circumstances that the university has gone through.
Despite all difficulties, the university has proven its worth in placing the name of the university among its sister universities, the Iraqi, Arab and other universities.
The President of the University extended his thanks to the team concerned with following up on the requirements of this classification and everyone who made a reasonable effort in this direction.
