Scientific Assistant Holds Expanded Meeting for University Human Rights Units

Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, held a meeting in his office with the head of the Human Rights Division and the coordinators of the units across all colleges. The meeting aimed to discuss mechanisms for developing the work of these units and enhancing their role in promoting a culture of human rights within the university.

Hussein emphasized the necessity of implementing the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which stipulate dedicating the coordinators of the units to work on raising awareness of human rights within their departments. He also stressed the importance of documenting the needs of the units and submitting the necessary recommendations to the relevant authorities to overcome any obstacles they may face.

During the meeting, the unit coordinators presented several proposals to support and activate their roles within the university, contributing to the university’s mission of spreading and reinforcing human rights concepts among the academic community.

On another note, the Scientific Assistant recommended preparing a comprehensive report on the outcomes of the meeting and submitting the proposed recommendations for follow-up and implementation.
