Seminar at the College of Education Highlights the Role of Technology in Supporting Individuals with Special Needs

A seminar held at the College of Education at the University of Samarra highlighted “The Role of Technology in Facilitating the Lives of Individuals with Special Needs.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Maytham Mohammed Bakr.

The organizers aimed to shed light on how technological advancements are improving the quality of life for individuals with special needs through innovative chemical solutions.

The speaker reviewed the development of smart materials, such as biodegradable polymers and materials sensitive to pressure and heat, which are used in the manufacturing of prosthetics and medical devices.

In a related context, the seminar showcased some assistive medical technologies, including sensor devices based on biochemistry to monitor health status, and neural stimulation devices built on precise chemical interactions.

Additionally, Dr. Mohammed addressed assistive technologies such as the development of long-lasting batteries and lightweight materials to support the production of wheelchairs and wearable devices, along with interactive educational programs.

It is worth noting that these innovations contribute to empowering individuals with special needs and enhancing their integration into society. The University of Samarra continues to support research and scientific applications that aim to improve the lives of community members.
