The College of Applied Sciences Trains Students to Develop Graduation Research Using Modern Software

The College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra organized a training course aimed at final-year undergraduate students. The course, titled “The Proper Methodology for Scientific Research and the Role of Modern Software in Developing Graduation Research”, was presented by Dr. Hamid Jassim Mohammed and Assistant Professor Mohammed Abbas Fadel.

The course instructors focused on explaining the role of modern software in facilitating and enhancing scientific research. They highlighted its integration into all stages of the research process, from identifying the research problem, collecting and analyzing data, to formulating research findings.

These software tools include reference management programs, compound drawing tools, and specialized writing software designed to improve efficiency and organize research work.

Such tools equip students with the necessary resources to improve the quality of their graduation research, enhance their research potential, and develop their cognitive abilities.

The instructors recommended following sound scientific methodologies, utilizing modern software, and employing digital tools, including reference management programs like Zotero and EndNote. They also emphasized the importance of training in scientific research tools.
