The Dean of the College of Engineering Participates in the Annual Celebration of the Ministry of Planning Representing the University of Samarra

Assistant Professor Dr. Amjad Saleh Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Engineering, represented the University of Samarra at the annual celebration of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Education of Iraq, on Wednesday, January 29th.

The celebration was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Planning, Dr. Muhammad Ali Tamim, along with several advisors and deputy ministers, heads of authorities and agencies, some university presidents, general directors, college deans and their faculty members, as well as representatives from ministries and entities not affiliated with a ministry, UNESCO representatives, and a number of international agencies and organizations operating in Iraq, and civil society organizations.

The event included two video presentations showcasing the achievements of the Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to honoring a group of distinguished and influential individuals in the education sector.

It is noteworthy that the celebration coincided with the International Day of Education, 2025, under the slogan “Education is the Key to Building Human Capital.”
