The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance Raises Awareness on Occupational Safety
The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Presidency of the University of Samarra organized an awareness campaign on “Health, Safety, and Occupational Standards,” targeting university staff, including faculty members, employees, and students.
The organizers aimed to highlight the importance of following preventive measures to maintain public health and provide necessary guidance to the target audience to promote sustainable environmental practices and operate within the framework of integrated management systems.
The campaign included distributing informational brochures containing instructions on health and occupational safety, the application of global ISO standards, and cultural information to preserve the environment and apply occupational safety standards in accordance with international ISO systems.
Additionally, the brochures outlined methods for dealing with environmental and occupational hazards and encouraged members of the university community to take necessary steps to adopt best health practices, particularly in laboratory work.
It is worth noting that this campaign is part of a series of awareness initiatives encouraged by the Presidency of the University of Samarra to achieve a safe and sustainable educational environment, in line with its strategy to promote sustainable development.
