University of Samarra Organizes Awareness Campaign on the International Day of Human Solidarity
The Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up organized an awareness campaign on the International Day of Human Solidarity, observed annually on December 20, as per the United Nations General Assembly resolution issued in 2005. The day serves as a symbol of unity and joint efforts toward building a better future.
The campaign aimed to promote unity and human and social development, as well as to strengthen bonds of cohesion and peaceful coexistence within society. It particularly focused on university students, who represent a diverse cross-section of Iraqi society and its unity.
This international day seeks to enhance solidarity among nations and encourage collaboration in addressing global humanitarian challenges.
The campaign included the distribution of an educational brochure that introduced the International Day of Human Solidarity and raised community awareness about the importance of solidarity to achieve the intended objectives of this observance.
It is worth noting that the campaign was organized in collaboration with the Media and Government Communication Departments at the University of Samarra’s presidency, along with the Media Department of the College of Arts.
