The Rector of Samarra University receives a faculty member from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan hosted as an external examiner
Prof. Dr. Sabah Alawi Al-Samarrai, Rector of Samarra University, received in his office Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanadi Za\’al Masoud, a faculty member specializing in modern history at the University of Jordan, as an external examiner, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
The reception took place on the sidelines of Masoud\’s visit to the Department of History at the College of Education for Humanities at Samarra University to oversee the final examinations for the academic year 2025-2026 in the master\’s and doctoral programs, in line with ministerial directives and within the periodic visits of the external examiner program.
Hanadi was accompanied during her tour by the university\’s Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, along with the assistants to the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, the Head of the History Department at the college, and the Director of the Quality Assurance Department.
The guest examined a number of examination halls, scrutinizing the question paper formats and the mechanisms for preparing them, in addition to following up on the organizational procedures followed to ensure the smooth flow of exams and their compliance with quality and academic accreditation standards.
For her part, the guest praised the organizational level of the exams and the efforts made by the History Department\’s leadership, the college deanship, and the examination committee in providing a suitable exam environment that contributes to achieving justice and academic rigor, affirming the importance of academic cooperation between Arab universities to exchange expertise and advance the educational process.
In turn, the university Rector presented a letter of appreciation and a university shield to the external examiner in recognition of her efforts in implementing the items of the external examiner program schedule, enduring the hardship of travel, as well as her dedication in touring and following up.
It is worth mentioning that this hosting comes within the framework of Samarra University and its formations\’ keenness to enhance the quality of education and adhere to approved academic standards, contributing to the development of study programs and achieving distinguished educational outcomes, especially for holders of higher degrees.
