The College of Engineering in Samarra signs a cooperation agreement with its counterpart in Al-Nahrain University
The College of Engineering at the University of Samarra held a joint scientific and academic cooperation agreement with its counterpart at Al-Nahrain University. It was signed by Assistant Prof. Dr. Amjad Saleh Mahmoud (Dean of the College) with the Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh.
This agreement comes in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to unify scientific efforts, exchange academic expertise and human resources among the various institutions; with the aim of developing educational and research processes and serving the community, as well as updating curricula to suit the requirements of the labor market, in addition to supporting innovation and joint applied projects between faculty members and students at both universities.
The agreement included activating joint supervision of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, forming research teams to implement strategic projects and publish them in international repositories, in addition to providing opportunities for mutual benefit from laboratories, technical equipment, and digital resources, and organizing specialized workshops and seminars that contribute to raising the efficiency of engineering outputs.
On the sidelines of the signing, the Engineering-Samarra delegation conducted a field tour of the departments of Architecture Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and the scientific laboratories of the Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Prosthetics departments.
It is worth mentioning that this partnership aspires to open wide horizons for developing scientific projects and elevating the level of academic performance to serve the educational process in Iraq.
