University of Samarra Professor Trains on Combating Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism

Professor Dr. Ahmed Hussein Ali, a faculty member at the College of Education, has conducted training sessions for various community groups on the concept of “violent extremism leading to terrorism.”

The training covered the definition of violent extremism, its causes, and strategies for combating it. Dr. Ali highlighted key challenges faced by both society and authorities, as well as the psychological and social motivations behind violent extremism.

The workshops targeted officials from women’s affairs units in government institutions, religious scholars from both endowments, and members of human rights and civil society organizations.

These activities align with government directives to combat violent extremism leading to terrorism, and the training was provided to an organization specializing in human rights issues.
