A Faculty Member at Samarra University Publishes A Research on Communication Systems in a Scopus-Indexed Journal
Assist. Lect. (Bakr Saeed Shihab), a faculty member within the Department of Construction and Projects at the Rectorship of the University of Samarra, has published a joint scientific research paper in the journal \\\”Wireless Communications Systems,\\\” published in London and ranked in the second quartile (Q2) within the Scopus database.
The research, titled \\\”A New Low-Computational Complexity Technique for Optical Communication Systems,\\\” presented a comprehensive analysis and simulation results, along with a comparison of the proposed system with current systems, in addition to a brief evaluation of existing methodologies.
As the researchers sought to improve the complexity of VLC systems, they proposed a new unipolar receiver for the traditional optical OFDM system based on Asymmetrically Absolute Clipped (AAO-OFDM), providing its mathematical analysis and comparing it with existing systems.
The results of this study showed a high data rate ratio reaching 45%, and a better Bit Error Rate (BER) compared to previous systems. Additionally, the proposed receiver reduces system complexity by 16.67%.
In turn, the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University Rectorship congratulates the faculty member on the staff of the University Rectorship for his new scientific achievement, wishing him continued success in his academic and research career.
