Two lecturers from Samarra University co-author a book on organization theory and design.
The two lecturers from the College of Administration and Economics, Assoc. Prof. (Ishaq Youssef Hamdan) and Lecturer Dr. (Firas Farhan Taha), co-authored a scientific book titled (Organization Theory and Design), published by Dar Al-Ibdaa, which discusses the most prominent modern concepts in organizational science.
The book presents the definition of the organization and its importance in society, explaining its vital role in achieving development and institutional stability, and discussing the most prominent current challenges facing organizations in contemporary work environments.
On the other hand, the publication includes a practical presentation of how to employ organizational design concepts in global companies, including \”Xerox\” Company, to link theory with practical application. It also discusses the structural dimensions of institutions and the contingency factors that influence the formation of their organizational structures.
The authors touched upon the concepts of efficiency and effectiveness, focusing on the stakeholder approach as one of the important criteria for measuring organizational performance, along with presenting a historical overview of the development of organizational thought over time.
It is noted that this work represents a qualitative scientific addition to the academic library, and an important source for researchers and students specializing in administration and economics, and contributes to enhancing the theoretical and practical understanding of the field of organizational design.\”
