College of Education Students Conduct Scientific Visit to Samarra Pharmaceutical Company

The College of Education at the University of Samarra organized a scientific visit for students from the Department of Chemistry to the headquarters of the State Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances in Samarra. Accompanied by several faculty members, the visit aimed to enhance academic integration by combining theoretical and practical aspects in undergraduate studies and guiding students through this hands-on scientific experience.

The university delegation was received by several heads of production units and managers of analytical and diagnostic laboratories within the company’s facilities. The company’s staff welcomed the students and their professors, emphasizing the importance of such visits to strengthen collaboration between academic and industrial institutions, thereby contributing to the development of Iraq’s pharmaceutical industry.

During the visit, chemistry students observed various pharmaceutical production lines, especially the advanced ones, and learned about the quality control mechanisms employed to ensure production quality. They were also introduced to modern methods used in drug testing, which are a pivotal part of the production process.

It’s noteworthy that the pure science departments at the College of Education consistently organize regular scientific visits to bridge academic education with practical application, aiming to prepare graduates who are both scientifically and practically qualified to serve institutions and the community.
