A Glimpse into the Practical Laboratory Work of the Chemistry Department

Graduate students in the Chemistry Department at the College of Education, University of Samarra, carry out the practical aspect of their scientific research within the department’s laboratories.

The students aim to conduct ongoing experiments, such as evaluating the blood glucose-lowering effect of Dapagliflozin and its derivatives, which are synthesized in the lab and modified with lipid alterations, on diabetic male laboratory rats.

The goal is to develop Dapagliflozin, a blood glucose-lowering drug, by preparing two derivatives and conducting clinical tests on diabetic laboratory rats to compare their outcomes and therapeutic effectiveness.

It is worth noting that this work represents a routine, daily activity for graduate students in the department.
