Administrative Assistant Launches University Cleanup Week

In his first official task, the Assistant to the University President for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ziyad Tariq Ibrahim, held a meeting with the Director of the Department of Administrative Affairs and Maintenance, along with the heads of administrative units in the colleges, in preparation for launching University Cleanup Week on Tuesday, March 18 / Ramadan 1446 (2025).

Dr. Tariq instructed that all human and material resources be prepared to begin the campaign starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 19 / Ramadan, at exactly 9:00 a.m., for a duration of five working days.

The campaign will include cleaning the university’s streets, alleys, and corridors, as well as maintaining sidewalks and pathways. Additionally, it will involve restoring lighting in streetlight poles and repairing those damaged during previous maintenance work.

It is worth mentioning that this campaign follows the completion of 80% of the university’s reconstruction efforts, which led to the full completion of several buildings and roads. This progress called for a comprehensive cleanup and maintenance initiative for the newly finished areas.

On their part, the Department of Media and Government Communication calls on university students to cooperate with the cleanup team and contribute to maintaining the university’s cleanliness by practicing civil behavior, refraining from littering, and disposing of trash in designated bins — for cleanliness is a shared responsibility.
