Physical Education College Conducts Training Course on Sports Medicine Applications in Stadiums
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Samarra conducted an intensive training course on sports injuries, led by Assistant Lecturer Mujd Al-Din Mohammed Saleh, a faculty member in the Samarra Education Department under the Salah al-Din Directorate of Education.
The trainer aimed to explain practical applications of sports medicine in stadiums, emphasizing key factors for team success, including accurate diagnosis of each player’s needs and mechanisms for rehabilitating injured athletes.
The course focused on preventive guidelines for muscular injuries that athletes may encounter during or after physical activity. Given that athletes commonly rely on sports medicine to maintain their physical performance and prevent injuries from hindering their careers, the training underscored the importance of maintaining high-level, injury-free performance.
These activities aim to enhance students’ and athletes’ practical knowledge, highlight the crucial role of sports therapists in various sports teams, and strengthen collaboration between different government institutions while benefiting from the expertise of sports specialists.
