Seminar at the College of Agriculture Explores Brain Protection and Memory Preservation
A scientific seminar at the College of Agriculture, University of Samarra, titled “Methods for Protecting the Brain and Preserving Memory Through Daily Activities,” was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Hamid Mahal and Assistant Lecturer Wedyan Hamid Mahdi, both faculty members at the college.
The seminar aimed to clarify ways to protect the brain and enhance memory through healthy daily habits, highlighting the role of memory enhancement in improving quality of life.
Dr. Hamid discussed several factors affecting brain health, such as proper nutrition, physical activity, regular sleep, and social interaction. He also presented practical strategies to maintain cognitive functions, reduce the risk of cognitive decline with age, and emphasized the importance of stimulating the brain through mental activities.
Ms. Mahdi focused on the importance of reducing stress and anxiety, encouraging participants to engage in mentally stimulating activities such as reading and solving puzzles. She also highlighted the role of social interaction in improving brain function.
Additionally, the presenters warned about harmful habits that negatively affect brain health, including smoking and the misuse of technology. They recommended adopting daily practices to preserve memory and prevent cognitive decline.
