The First Annual Samarra Scientific Conference Resumes Sessions on Its Second Day

The University of Samarra resumed the proceedings of its First Annual Scientific Conference by holding three discussion sessions on its second consecutive day. The conference, hosted in Al-Mu’tasim Hall, is titled “The University and Its Role in Combating the Spread of Drugs – Prevention and Treatment,” as part of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week activities.

The second day featured research papers on religious, educational, medical, scientific, athletic, media, and legal topics aligned with the conference’s themes. Key topics included “The Phenomenon of Drugs and Their Impact on Islam and Social Security,” “The Role of Educational Institutions in Combating Drug Phenomena,” and “The Sports Policy of the Iraqi State as a Strategy to Reduce Youth Drug Use and Achieve Social Security (From the Perspective of Salahuddin Governorate Athletes).”

Additionally, other sessions on the second day discussed research papers on “Combating the Threat of Drugs at the International and National Levels,” “The Role of Institutional Media in Enhancing University Efforts to Prevent Drugs,” and “The Psychological and Legal Impact of Drugs on University Students.”

The Academic Assistant recognized the participating researchers from the five sessions held over two days, honoring their scientific and research efforts in enriching the conference themes with their diverse research papers and tying them to the conference’s main focus.

It is worth noting that the University of Samarra strives to achieve the objectives of the government program through its practical and academic activities, engaging its staff in program components and providing opportunities for researchers from various government institutions to participate in all its events.
