The Media Department of the University of Samarra held an extensive meeting to discuss its annual strategic plan. The meeting included the staff of the Media and Government Communication Department, chaired by the University of Samarra, along with the heads and staff of the media divisions of the colleges, to deliberate on the institutional strategic plan for the year 2025.

During the meeting, discussions centered on initiating work on the new visual identity, promoting a culture of media normalization, and exploring ways to enhance message delivery methods and the quality of media content presented to the public.

The meeting also identified new types of activities, such as national and international days, sustainable development activities, campaigns from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a focus on national discourse policy.

Additionally, emphasis was placed on the quality of images and news content in terms of substance, and on writing news in a clear, institutionally journalistic style rich in information to provide knowledgeable benefits to the specialized audience.

From a skills perspective, a plan was developed to enhance the skills of the university’s media staff. This plan includes organizing training courses in news editing, photojournalism, news report production, editing, and managing institutional media work.

It is noteworthy that the aim of the meeting was to outline new features for the work of the University of Samarra’s media department, aspiring to design the foundational principles of national institutional media.
