Mr. Zuhair Khalaf Abd, an employee at the College of Arts, University of Samarra, has obtained a Master’s degree in Islamic History from the College of Arts and Islamic Sciences at Al-Jinan University.

His thesis, titled “The Hostility Between Syriacs and Greeks and Its Impact on Arab-Islamic Civilization,” aimed to elucidate the longstanding political, economic, cultural, and social relations between Greeks and Syriacs. It also sought to uncover the origins of the Syriacs, their activities, movements among nations, interactions, and cultural contributions resulting from their integration with these nations.

In his research, Mr. Khalaf highlighted the significant role played by the Syriacs in ancient civilizations, emphasizing their ability to transmit knowledge and the fusion of Syriac and Arab thought. This fusion led to a form of development and a new phase of global culture that bridged Eastern and Western civilizations alike.
