Head of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Organizes Workshop at the Duluiya Education Department
The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance, under the presidency of the University of Samarra, organized an awareness workshop titled “No to School Violence.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Adnan Talfah Muhammad, Assistant Professor Dr. Janan Muhammad Hussein, Dr. Suad Sabah Hussein, and Assistant Lecturer Salem Mandil Saleh, with the attendance of Mr. Fawad Nazhan Jassim from the Intellectual Counter-Terrorism Directorate in Salahuddin.
The workshop aimed to educate educational staff in the Duluiya Education Department on reducing and addressing school violence, as well as establishing a mechanism for interacting with students and their parents. The speakers addressed the concept of violence in general and school violence in particular, explaining the types of violence, its causes within educational institutions, and methods for addressing it. They also outlined scientific and practical approaches to tackling this issue, highlighting the roles of family and community institutions in reducing and eradicating school violence.
It is worth noting that this workshop is part of a series of training courses, workshops, and scientific, cultural, and awareness seminars that the university undertakes to serve the community.
